Etymology ·

(Brahmā) is the masculine nominative of the stem ब्रह्मन् — the creator deity of the trimūrti. It is a DIFFERENT name from the neuter ब्रह्म (Brahma), the impersonal Absolute; the two differ only in the final vowel and must never be conflated.
