Etymology · व्युत्पत्ति

गन्धवहात्मज = गन्धवह (गन्ध को वहन करने वाला, अर्थात् वायु) + आत्मज (पुत्र)

Gandhavaha is one of the names of Vāyu — the wind, which carries fragrance. Gandhavahātmaja is therefore the wind's son — Hanumān ji.
