Etymology · व्युत्पत्ति
तेजस् = हलन्त-लोप → तेजस
The root word तेजस् carries a final halant (the grammatical stem); as a given name the halant is dropped (तेजस), and the English form takes no trailing schwa, so “Tejas”, not “Tejasa”.
