Etymology · व्युत्पत्ति

जाम्बवान् = हलन्त-लोप → जाम्बवान

The form जाम्बवान् is written with a final halant (the grammatical/citation spelling); as a borne name the final halant is dropped (जाम्बवान), and the English form takes no trailing schwa.
